ZHOU (JOE) ZHANG, MA, CFA, PhD
Dr. Zhang is a Full Professor in Finance at the Hill Levene Schools of Business, University of Regina. He has been a founding member and Faculty Advisor of UR Investing since 2018. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Dr. Zhang is passionate about connecting finance theories with practical applications through teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses. He has received numerous research awards, including CPA Data Analytics Scholar, CPA Research Scholar, Leaders Council Scholar, Viterra Faculty Fellow, and an SSHRC Insight Grant. Dr. Zhang is an active researcher whose work focuses primarily on corporate finance and cross-country studies, with additional interests in corporate social responsibility. He has published in high-quality journals, including the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Financial Review, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research, and others.

YOUNGSOO KIM, MBA, PhD
Youngsoo is an Associate Professor in Finance at the Hill Levene Schools of Business in the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Regina. Youngsoo is one of founding members of URI. Since URI’s inception, Youngsoo has been a member of the Investment Committee and Board of Directors. He firmly believes in the URI and its positive impact on students. Youngsoo has received his Ph.D. in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has taught finance courses both in undergraduate and graduate school. His research areas include politics and finance, market microstructure and corporate finance. His papers are published in journals such as Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, and Quantitative Finance. He has received several research grants including a SSHRC grant. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, gardening, and watching opera.

ARTURO RUBALCAVA, MBA, PhD
Dr. Arturo Rubalcava is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Hill Levene Schools of Business, University of Regina. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the Molson School of Business at Concordia University. A member of the Investment Committee since 2016, Dr. Rubalcava teaches finance courses and conducts research on international corporate finance, market efficiency, capital and ownership structure, and equity offerings, with a focus on Canadian firms listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, and Journal of International Finance and Economics, among others.

SAQIB KHAN, MBA, MSc, PhD
Dr. Saqib Khan is a Full Professor of Finance and has served as Interim Dean and Associate Dean at the Hill Levene School of Business. He holds an MSc. Engineering from Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, MBA from Institute of Business Administration-Karachi, and PhD in Finance from Ivey Business School. He has experience working in both public and private sector organizations. In addition to the University of Regina, Dr. Khan also taught at the Ivey Business School, Brescia University College, and Institute of Business Administration-Karachi. He has published research papers in top tier finance journals, and also business cases. He is the holder of Agribusiness Research Scholar and is a recipient of several internal and external research grants. Dr. Khan has served on the Labor Market Council and Investment and Growth Committee of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of several community organizations.
